Charming traditional baker of the unique Couques biscuits which have beautiful designs. They also require special eating - you crack off a little piece using the side of a table, then suck the hard dough until it softens in the mouth to release the creamy flavour! Brilliant! The simple tea room is a throw back to the 1940s and well worth a visit - and don’t forget to try their secret family recipe for waffles!
We had a breakfast here, atmosphere is unique, because interior is very very old and original, place is from 1860 something like that but because of the two wwars they build it up . Speciality is homemade cookie with just two ingredients witch are honey and flour.

Got the rock hard cookie :) it’s a Dinant specialty whereby you’re supposed to dunk it in milk or tea or break it up into pieces and suck on. Not meant to be eaten as it is. Starts at €5/piece.

It's worth visiting as a piece of history. Beautiful decor, old-school coffee pots and mugs and tables, and delicious chocolate (and coffee was good too!). Worth a stop while strolling around Dinant.
Drinks are expensive but include two servings, the pastries are delightful. A very cute and old fashioned experience worth going out of your way for.
Great historical bakery and café with friendly and welcoming staff + a damn good cup of hot chocolate 😉 We had 2 delicious cakes; 1 small seasonal colorful Christmas cake and bigger one with meringue. Both tasted amazing. Unfortunately we didn’t have time to try the traditional dry cookies from this village (Couque de Dinant). We’ll definitely be back.

They basically saved my birthday, I was looking for cafeteria in Dinant where I could have a piece of birthday cake, but that was s challenge. We saw this place and the windows full of pastry and cookies. We came in, ordered nice pieces if pastry and homemade chocolate, kindly advised by the lady there. It was very tasty, everyone was friendly, place itself is very authentic. In the end we decided to try those traditional Dinant cookies, the lady warned us that it's supposed to be HARD, that's the original recipe, and when you eat it slowly chewing it's becoming softer, also after some time in the closet it also became softer, with great note of honey. Eclair and cake was good. Tasted different then elsewhere, which is a good thing. coffee was good. The hot chocolate was extremely good, made directly with chocolate and no added sugar. The service was nice. Old historical place with charm

Amazing traditional bakery in Dinant! Have a coffee (they serve it in a pewter pot) and a pastry or a couque! The sitting area is beautiful with really old wooden furniture. The staff is great, friendly and happy to serve you!
Warm and pleasant welcome. Place brings you to the last century. Perfect stop for little sweet snack to chew and trick your stomach.

Most of the people giving reviews don’t realise that the cookies are supposed to be hard this is the whole point. In anycase this is a brilliant place for a breakfast. The filter coffee is good the pastry is absolutely perfect.

By far the best couques de Dinant, the best fresh bread and not but not least the best hot chocolate in town. Excessively nice family business, opened 7/7.
